Intended to maximize a prominent hilltop lot with a sweeping river view, this home is loaded with a large variety of hosting capabilities. The ground floor, living, and dining areas are spacious and open. The living, dining, and master bedrooms have large, sliding-glass panel doors that provide unhindered access to an expansive outdoor deck. The master suite is almost a house of its own, with features such as a large bathroom, sauna, and substantial closets. The second floor is designed to entertain and house visiting children of all ages, with two bedrooms equipped with beds, bunks, and bathrooms. Back downstairs, a guest room located near the main entry can host older guests. The entire main floor was designed with the idea of “aging in place” with ample openings and considerations for future needs. From a lengthy collaboration with an involved client, Geist was provided with the rich material needed to achieve this family’s forever house. Currently under construction.
